Posted by: Dartz - 12-26-2017, 10:19 PM - Forum: The Lounge - Replies (26)

maxwell got me thinking, who is the most privileged person on ironnoob?

since we all mostly live with our parents, post ur parent's income and occupation in the format below. include a conversion to usd/gbp for our folks across the pond. i think itll be cool to see the wealth diversity across all the different IN members.

mother: marketing
income: $160,000/yr

(step) father: marketing
income: $130,000/yr

total household income: $290,000/yr (or £216,775)

****since this is a [serious] thread im deleting joke or off topic replies

  My Daggerfall adventure
Posted by: stereomono - 12-11-2017, 03:56 PM - Forum: The Lounge - No Replies

Daggerfall on a mechanical level has me curious about it. It's by far the most open Elder Scrolls, and with so many skills and options in just the character creator alone. I decided to do a second playthrough.

My character is Arg. He is a servile Argonian that does not specialize in combat whatsoever, and instead has focused himself nonviolently. He is good at speaking the various languages spoken across the Lliac Bay region (Daedric, Orcish, Dragonish, etc). He is also good at speaking bluntly and fancily toward the peasant and nobility classes respectively. His service toward the Imperials at at the Imperial region has had him earn a great amount of respect with nobility throughout Tamriel, at the cost of how he is seen by some of the peasant and under classes. Arg is talented at pickpocketing as is his genetic nature of being an Argonian, and when in a bind, Arg can resort to hand-to-hand as a last resort against enemies and to bust open locked doors. Arg is very untalented when it comes to combat and can only use Iron gear as he is too weak to use anything else besides iron equipment. Arg was born and raised as a desert servant before being brought into the Imperial empire which gives him a resistance bonus against anything fire or heat related but a weakness against frost. He doesn't like frost or the cold at all, and a result, the winter months in Tamriel are his most despised, forcing him to stay either in desert regions like Hammerfell, or if he has to go anywhere else, he will try to be indoors as much as possible. He will try to stay away from the northern kingdoms of the Ba.

The emperor of the Imperial empire has sent Arg to the country of High Rock. The Imperial's influence has shrunk over the years, which has caused both the countries of High Rock and Hammerfell to balkanize into several smaller petty states, kingdoms, and territories fighting among themselves for power. The emperor has sent me for a letter that is very sentimental to him. He also is sending me to investigate the death of King Lysandus, who was known for being a wise, benevolent king, but died mysteriously. He now haunts his home city of Daggerfall every night with his legion of ghostly wraiths.

On my way, to the kingdom of Daggerfall, a storm struck my ship and Arg barely made it out alive. Arg washed up to shore to a cave that collapsed behind him. All seemed lost, but the Argonian found a passageway in front of him. It lead to a series of confusing maze-like corridors filled with rats, imps, and spooky skeletons that almost killed him, but Arg was too brave and also had the magical power of having played this game before and knowing where the dungeon exit was.

At last, freedom!

It's snowed recently? Ah, Hell in a handbasket.

Fearing the cold, Arg drifted through the kingdom of Sentinel in Hammerfell for a  short while in seek of warmer pastures.  After about a month, he was contacted by an agent of the kingdom of Daggerfall, Lady Brisienna. Lady Brisienna would wait in the small inn of the Dog and Wolf at the town of MasterSley Hall. At this day, it was also the holiday of First Planting. Arg would send his condolences.

At the tavern, Lady Brisienna has informed him that the ghost of King Lynsadus cannot be reasoned with at all. He only mutters the word "Vengeance" and attacks the innocent citizens of Daggerfall every night. She also says that the letter is lost for the moment as the agent that sent it got lost in the war, and it's best to check with the major powers of the kingdoms of Daggerfall, Wayrest, and Sentinel before proceeding any further with my quest.
