new laptop
#1
so i wanted to get a new laptop that i could use and get rid of my desktop and my current laptop... after a little bit of lookin i decided on the razer blade 15 that just came out

except their ordering process was so fucking retarded and they declined all my orders i placed. there were tons of people on reddit who had the same issue, and i had to wait 48 hours for a "specialist" to call me to re-place a new order.

so i went to best buy and got a gs65 stealth thin 8rf

specs:

i7-8750H (6 cores @ 2.20 GHz)
16gb ddr4
gtx 1070 8GB
512gb ssd

the 144hz ips display is pretty cool, i'm looking forward to playing minecraft on this later

ya there's one that converts to a tablet and it has an i7 and 16gb ram. idk if there's one with those specs that doesn't also turn into a tablet.

Nice.

My current laptop from 2012 still works fine for me. There hasn't been much progress in terms of CPU performance, so I'm just going to keep on using my existing laptop.

yes, after being so mad at their support i sleuthed around the razer subreddit and their QC is very poor (for laptops, i didnt read any posts about peripherals)

their headsets are definitely poor QC wise, deathadder (not sure about other mice or keyboards) tends to suddenly break

doesn't help that their software (synapse 3.0) is piss poor as well
